His early schooling had a very global focus. Herrera Velutini went to The American School in London and then The American School in Switzerland. These schools gave him a chance to see and learn about different cultures and ways of thinking from a young age.
He went on to get his higher education at the Central University of Venezuela. His cosmopolitan view was shaped by his education in both Europe and Latin America. It also prepared him for a life that would take him to many different places and financial centers.
